Are you tired of scrolling through Instagram and want to delete your account for good? It’s easy to do so on the mobile app. Follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Open the Instagram app
First, open the Instagram app on your mobile device. Make sure you are logged in with the account you want to delete.
Step 2: Go to your profile page
Next, click on your profile icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen. This will take you to your profile page.
Step 3: Access settings
Once you are on your profile page, click on the three horizontal lines located at the top right corner of the screen. This will open a menu where you can access various settings.
Step 4: Go to “Settings”
Scroll down until you find “Settings” and click on it.
Step 5: Select “Help”
Once you are in settings, scroll down until you find “Help” and click on it.
Step 6: Click “Help Centre”
In the Help section, click on “Help Centre” located at the bottom of the screen.
Step 7: Search for “Delete Account”
On the Help Centre page, type in “Delete Account” in the search bar at the top of the screen. This will bring up a list of articles related to deleting an Instagram account.

Step 8: Select “How do I delete my account?”
Click on “How do I delete my account?” from the list of articles that appear.
Step 9: Click the link to “Delete Your Account page”
Scroll down until you see the option to “Delete Your Account.” Click on the link provided.
Step 10: Choose a reason for deleting your account
Instagram will prompt you to choose a reason for deleting your account from a drop-down menu. Select the reason that best describes why you want to delete your account.
Step 11: Enter your password and click “Permanently delete my account”
After selecting the reason, enter your password in the space provided. Then, click on “Permanently delete my account.”
Note:
Once you click this button, your account will be permanently deleted along with all its data, including photos and videos. This action cannot be undone, so make sure you are certain before proceeding.

And that’s it! You have successfully deleted your Instagram account through the mobile app.
